Woodchoppers Jamboree and Rodeo

This annual event is held on Father's Day weekend in June. The year 2010 will mark the 50th year for this event which features lumberjacks from all over the country competing. There is also a rodeo for your favorite cowboy or cowgirl to compete in. The fun doesn't stop there, as there is also a parade and melodrama to add to the experience.

Grand Encampment Cowboy Gathering

The third weekend in July is time for this event which promotes the history and culture of the western cowboy. Events include a old west gunfight, a melodrama and a country music jam session at the park.

Sierra Madre Muzzleloaders Mountain Man Rendezvous

During the last weekend in July, the Grand Encampment Museum Grounds plays host to this event where the days of the mountainman of 150 years ago are recreated. You will see authentic clothing and campsites of the era. There is even a tomahawk throw and black powder shoot!
